Tancred is the Grandmaster of the Sword-Brethren. A tall and sturdily built man, he is a master of defensive combat, acting as a steadfast aegis of the poor and innocent.

Background

Tancred is the son of a noble family from the lands north of Gallia known as Allemagne. He was raised to inherit the fortunes of his father, but left his honors and birthrights behind to join the Sword-Brethren; giving up his titles and wealth to walk the path of a warrior-monk.

Achievements

Tancred rapidly ascended the ranks of the Sword-Brethren, becoming a pupil of the order's former leader, Galahad. When he ascended to Grandmaster, he swore to uphold the order's oaths to protect and care for the innocent and the needy. He oversaw the construction of the Priory of the One, a humble lodge and chapel that acts as a regional headquarters and a temple to the their mysterious faith.

Personality

A humorous and cheerful man, Tancred tends be rather quiet and reserved when meeting new people. In the presence of his fellow sword-brethren, he shows a bright and outgoing side to himself. He values acts of charity and selflessness, encouraging the other members of the order to strongly uphold their vows. Despite his desire to be polite and welcoming, he does value his order's privacy, and can often become irritated by those who wander into the priory uninvited.
